Make great stewed rhubarb dishes to eat by itself, or as a great

We are so accustomed to loading up our slow-cookers with meats for the day, we forget that they can achieve the same results with fruits and vegetables as well.
If you want to make a tasty sauce, and can't be home to do it, use those slowcooker-rhubarb recipes for compote you've been wanting to try, but just haven't had the time. It will be a nice treat to come home to.

Instead of using your crockpot-for-rhubarb and few other recipes, do you as a rule use your crockpot much at all? If you want to get much more use out of your slow-cooker, you should have some basic
Crock Pot Staples
on hand. It's a very basic list.
Did you know?...2 1/2 hours of low heat in the oven is equal to 1 hour high heat in your crockpot. Depending
on the make of your slowcooker, it can vary but not by much.
Also, having a peek inside by taking off the lid increases
your cooking time by as much as 30 minutes.
