Alcohol Free Drinks For A Crowd
These rhubarb-punch recipes combined with your favorite citrus fruits and juices, are sure to please the crowd. They can also be served as a non-alcoholic-punch too.
Quick and easy to make too!
You may adjust the sugar and juice ingredients to suit your own tastes.
Serve plain as a non-alcoholic-punch for the kids, or add a desired amount of gin or vodka if you wish to serve an adult
crowd.
CITRUS RHUBARB-PUNCH
2 1/2 cups water
2/3 cup white sugar
4 cups chopped rhubarb
1/3 cup lemon juice
2/3 cup orange juice
2 cups 7-up soda
2 cups frozen strawberries
Simmer the sugar, water and rhubarb until tender on low heat.
Make sure sugar is dissolved and remove from heat.
Strain the mixture.
Let cool and add the orange and lemon juice. Add 7-up and strawberries and chill.
Garnish with orange slices in punchbowl, or serve in a chilled glass with an orange wedge.
LEMON-LIME RHUBARB
5 cups finely diced rhubarb
5 cups water
1 cup sugar
4 cups lemon-lime soda
1 can of lemonade concentrate
Combine the rhubarb, sugar, water and lemonade. Cover and simmer until rhubarb is tender. Strain the mixture, and chill.
Serve in a bowl, or in a glass with lots of ice. Pour the lemon-lime soda over top. Garnish with pieces of lemon and lime slices.
Lemons, limes, and orange slices make wonderful garnishes
for any punch bowl. Sprigs of mint or cherries, or pineapple
slices are nice as well for the punch or a tall glass.
PINK PUNCH
4 cups rhubarb chopped
3/4 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups water
1 small can of frozen pink lemonade
1 can ginger ale
Cook the sugar, water, and rhubarb until soft. Strain liquid. Add frozen lemonade. Chill well.
Serve in glasses with ice or pour into a punch bowl. Add the ginger ale over top.
RHUBARB-RASPBERRY-PUNCH
4 cups chopped rhubarb
2/3 cup white sugar
3 cups water
1 cup orange juice
1/3 cup lemon juice
2 cans ginger ale
1 quart fresh raspberries
On low heat, simmer the rhubarb, sugar, raspberries and water until rhubarb is tender. Strain the liquid. Add in the lemon and orange juice and chill.
When serving, add the ginger ale.
